Hey everyone! We are heading into Spring and so it is time to get organized for the half marathon that everyone is anticipating! I would like to know how everyone is doing as far as details go...hotels, flights, etc. Thus far, I know that I have four rooms "blocked" at The Sheraton Wall Centre. It was not as expensive as the "sponsored" hotel and is in a central location for the race...better placed that the other in my opinion. These rooms are blocked at a "government" rate. Whether we get this rate for all the rooms when we check in, I do not know. The operator seemed to think it would be fine...at any rate, if you want me to confirm a room from this block for you, let me know, if you want to do something else, let me know as well.
This is just a formality, but for those of you, like myself, who have let your passports expire, get them renewed. Do not be amazed Em, we are not all world hoppers like yourself! For those of you who are bringing kiddoes, good idea to get them passports. At the minimum, go to your driver's facility and get an ID made for them. I was instructed this two weeks ago when I got my Washington License. Without ID, the border guards can take your children into a separate room for questioning. Gonna happen? Most likely not, but who wants to take the chance?
